Kick-Off of the NHEAT Project

7-8 March 2024, Pisa

The NHEAT project officially launched with a successful Kick-off Meeting on March 7-8, 2024, at the CNR Research Area in Pisa.

The meeting gathered project partners to discuss key topics, including an introduction to natural hydrogen occurrences, field activities, and data collection strategies. Sessions covered research on hydrogen formation in Ligurian serpentinites, long-lived hydrothermal systems, and fluid degassing processes in Italy. Discussions also focused on planning future activities, database development, and collaboration opportunities.

The event concluded with a wrap-up session outlining the next steps, milestones and research objectives. In addition, the final project logo was selected from the many creative proposals developed by IGG-CNR IT technician Lorenzo Gori, whom we sincerely thank for his valuable contribution.

Stay tuned for further updates as NHEAT continues to advance the knowledge of natural hydrogen resources!
